Seeded Bread Rolls

These sunflower and poppy seeds rolls are simple to make and satisfying. Served warm they make a great accompaniment to soups and cheeses. You can use any combination of seeds for this recipe so don't be afraid to experiment.

2 Baking trays, Bowl small, KHC30.000WH, Dough Tool

Istruzioni

Step 1

Fit the splashguard, then fit the Dough Tool.

Add water, salt, yeast, sunflower seeds, strong bread flour and wholemeal flour into the appliance bowl.

Knead for about 1 minute on speed Min until combined, and then scrape the bowl.

Knead for about 5 minutes on speed Min until the dough has formed.

Cover the dough with plastic wrap and prove until doubled in size for 1 hour.

Step 2

Flour the baking trays.

Add sunflower seeds and poppy seeds into a clean bowl and mix until combined.

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface.

Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces.

Roll each piece into a ball and brush with water.

Dip the dough balls into the seed mixture and place them on the baking trays.

Cover with tea towel and prove for 45 minutes until doubled in size.

Step 3

Preheat the oven to 220ºC.

Bake the rolls for 15 minutes at 220ºC until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool on a cooling rack.
