Get Up and Go Spread

220g cashew nuts

250ml boiling water

1 medium ripe banana (150g)  

1 tbsp coconut oil

2 tbsp coconut flour


1 tsp raw honey

1-2 tbsp raw cacao powder

2 tsp astragalus


  1. In a heat proof bowl, pour boiling water over the cashew nuts and set aside until cooled to room temperature. Drain the nuts and discard the water.
  2. Peel and chop the banana and add it to the goblet with the other Ingredients.
  3. If using honey and cacao powder, add to the goblet.
  4. Blend at maximum speed for 30 – 45 seconds using the stir stick. Halfway through blending stop and scrape down if necessary.  The mix should be smooth and thick.
  5. Pour into a ramekin or sterilised jar and allow to set for at least an hour.
  6. To serve, spread over your favourite crackers and enjoy.
  7. Try a sprinkle of chia seeds for extra protein.
