Wholewheat Waffle

Ingredients                                                                                                                                            2 Eggs
30g Caster Sugar
400ml Skim Milk
100g Butter, Melted
60ml Apple sauce
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
120g Wholemeal Flour
30g Flax Seed Meal
80g Plain Flour
3 tsp Baking Powder
¼ tsp Salt

450g Strawberries, chopped
80g Icing sugar

1. Place eggs and sugar into a mixing bowl, use balloon whisk and whisk until creamy.

2. Gradually pour in the skim milk, butter, apple sauce and vanilla essence and continue to whisk until well combined.

3. Pour in the wholemeal flour, flax seed meal, plain flour, baking powder and salt . Mix until even.

4. Switch on the waffle maker and grease with butter or oil.

5. When waffle maker is ready, scoop a ladle of mixture onto waffle plate making sure the whole square is covered. Close and leave for about 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

6. Serve with strawberry sauce .
