Beef Brisket in Red Wine with Vegetables

200g (4 small) Carrots - peeled and quartered lengthways

200g  Baby Potatoes - halved

1 Onion - peeled and quartered

2 Celery sticks

2 large sprigs Rosemary 

2 large sprigs Thyme 

4 Star Anise 

200ml Red Wine 

1 Tbsp Mushroom Ketchup or Worcestershire sauce 

1kg Rolled beef Brisket 

Seasoning to taste

2 Tbsp Whole Grain Mustard 



  1. Attach the coarse slicing disc to the direct prep attachment and set aside.
  2. Rub the beef in salt and pepper and then the mustard.


  1. Add the first 2 of the ‘INGREDIENTS 1’ (carrots, potatoes) into the bowl.
  2. Attach the direct prep to the machine in position 1 and slice the next 2 of ‘INGREDIENTS 1’(onion and celery) into the bowl.
  3. Once chopped, move the direct prep to position 2 and add the next 3 of ‘INGREDIENTS 1’(rosemary, thyme, star anise) on top of the vegetables and then pour the next 2 of‘INGREDIENTS 1’ (wine and ketchup or sauce) over the vegetables.
  4. Place the beef on top of all the vegetables and attach the lid making sure the filler cap is in place.
  5. Press the start/stop button and adjust the time to 8 hours and the heat to 85°C.• Once the ingredients are cooked the machine will go into keep warm stage until you are readyto eat.
