Recipe for Kenwood by Claire Turnbull

Carrot, Kumara and Pear

  • 4 large carrots, peeled
  • 2 medium kumara, peeled
  • 1 large pear, peeled

  1. Cut the carrots and kumara into 2 cm cubes and steam for 10-15 minutes or until soft and tender.
  2. Add the pear to the kumara and carrots and steam for a further 5 minutes until the pear is soft too.
  3. Remove these from the steaming basket and place into a large bowl, blend with the metal stick from the Kenwood Triblade along with additional water/milk/formula to create the consistency required.

Alternative: If pears are out of season, you can use canned pears in juice, just drain them before adding – no need to steam them just add to the kumara and carrots
