Nan's Boiled Fruit Loaf by Shaun Grint

Ingredients

200g Sultanas
250ml Milk
200g Light Muscavado Sugar
125g Soft Margarine
250g Self Raising Flour
1 Large Egg
1.5 tsp Mixed Spice

Method

Preheat Oven to 150°C (Fan) and grease a Loaf Tin. Put Sultanas, Milk, Margarine, Sugar & Mixed Spice into a saucepan and bring to the boil. Turn off the heat and leave to cool for 10 mins. Fold in flour and mix well. Add Egg and Mix again. Pour into Loaf Tin and bake for 1 hour. Check at 45 mins as baking time will vary, depending on oven.
