Preparation time: 45-50 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
180ml Tepid water
225g (8oz) Strong white flour
5ml (1 tsp) Easy blend yeast
2.5ml (1.2 tsp) Salt
2.5ml (1/2 tsp) Sugar
50g (2oz) Finely grated parmesan cheese
Filling:
400g can Chopped tomatoes, well drained
5ml (1 tsp) Dried mixed herbs
3 Slices cooked ham, diced
25g (1oz) Black olives, sliced
25g (1oz) Grated cheddar cheese
Little milk
Method
1. Pour the water into the mixer bowl, add the flour, yeast, salt and sugar and half of the parmesan and using the dough hook, mix on speed 2 for 4 minutes. Cover the bowl with cling film and leave in a warm place for about 30 minutes until doubled in size
2. Mix again on speed 1 for 1 minute to ‘knock-back’. Preheat the oven to Gas 7, 420C, 410C fan oven.
3. Roll out on a floured surface and then add the herbs, ham, olives and cheddar.
4. Roll up the pizza to resemble a swiss roll and place onto a baking sheet, brush with milk and sprinkle over the remaining parmesan.
5. Bake for 20 minutes until well risen and golden brown. Serve in slices with salad.
