  1. Attach the whisk attachment. Combine the mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar, sugar, celery seeds, salt, and pepper on a low speed until blended.
  2. Trim the cabbages and remove the core. Cut into wedges. Using the food processor fitted with the thick shredding blade, place the wedges upright into the feed tube and shred the cabbages.  Transfer to the bowl with the dressing. Add the bell pepper and parsley and toss until well mixed. 

Note: You can add shredded carrots, broccoli or beets to the slaw

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon celery seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 medium head green cabbage (about  1/2 pound)
  • 1/2 small head red cabbage (about 1/2 pound)
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into matchstick-thin strips
  • 3 tablespoons coarsely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
