Cooking Time:  8 – 10 minutes

  1. Fit the food grinder with the coarse screen.  Grind the chuck and sirloin into the mixing bowl.
  2. Add the shallots and seasoning.  Using the K beater, mix the meat mixture on medium speed until just mixed. Divide into 4 patties. With your thumb, make a small indentation into the center of each patty for even cooking.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high. Place the burgers on the grill, and grill until almost cooked through, about 4 minutes per side, or to desired degree of doneness. Brush each burger with 1 tablespoon of the barbecue sauce, 1 slice of cheese and 2 slices of bacon. Cover and cook until the cheese is melted, about 1 minute longer.  
  4. Line the bottom half of each bun with 1 lettuce leaf and 1 tomato slice. Top with a burger and bun tops and serve at once. 

Note: Making an indentation into the center of the burger promotes even cooking.

  • 2 shallots, finely chopped
  • 3/4 teaspoon steak seasoning
  • 4 tablespoons hickory BBQ Sauce
  • 4 slices sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices crisp-cooked bacon
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 green leaf lettuce leaves
  • 4 tomato slices
