ORANGE ICE CREAM PIE

ORANGE PIE
150g butter, melted
250g graham cracker crumbs
45g castor sugar

150ml whipping cream
125g sugar
220ml frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
½ tsp ground cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg
400g Vanilla ice cream, soften

VANILLA ICE CREAM INGREDIENTS
2 cups milk
½ cup double cream
100g white sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ pinch of salt


METHOD

Orange Pie
1) Combine cracker crumbs, melted butter and sugar together.
Mix well and press into a 9 inch pie plate. Place in freezer.

2) Beat together the cream and sugar.

3) Add undiluted orange juice concentrate, cinnamon and nutmeg.

4) Add the prepared ice cream and beat together till well incorporated.

5) Pour into prepared pie crust and level the top.

6) Allow to freeze until the desired consistency is achieved.

Vanilla Ice Cream
1) Combine all ingredients in the freezer container of the ice cream maker.

2) Churn till mixture is thick and creamy.

3) Allow to freeze until the desired consistency is achieved.
