Sugar Rolls                                                                                                                                    Makes about 5 pleated loaves

Dough Ingredients                                                                                                                      250ml Milk
4 Egg Yolks
50g Butter or Margarine
1 Tsp Salt
50g Caster Sugar
500g Bread Flour
2 Tsp Yeast

METHOD                                                                                                                                                 1) Pour all dough ingredients into bread pan according to sequence.

2) Select to dough cycle (8) and press start.

3) This cycle takes 1½ hours to complete.

4) When cycle completes, divide dough into 70g sizes.

5) Roll dough into strips of about 7" long. Use 3 pcs and pleat from
the center downwards. Fasten the ends tightly.

6) Preheat oven to 170ºC . Line baking tray with greaseproof paper.

8) When oven is hot, switch off the oven and place the tray of dough
into the oven to allow 20 minutes of rising.

9) When dough is risen enough, remove from oven and switch on the
oven again.

10) Brush with beaten egg on top of the bread dough and sprinkle
caster sugar generously on top.

11) Put tray back into oven and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes or
until light golden brown.
