Recipe for Kenwood by Eugene Hamilton

Ingredients

Burger Patties

  • 900g beef diced
  • 2 onions peeled
  • 4 tbsp parsley chopped
  • 2 tbsp thyme chopped
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Honkytonk Burger Sauce

  • 500g mayonnaise
  • 30g onion soup powder
  • 150g Heinz Ketchup
  • 250g dill pickles blended (no juice)
  • 80g Royalty Brand horseradish cream
  • 100g American mustard
  • 410g sour cream
  • 50g BBQ sauce

Method

Burger Patties

  1. Place the diced beef into food processor attachment with the chopping blade and pulse until a minced texture is achieved.
  2. Place the beef into the kitchen machine bowl.
  3. Change the chopping blade to the large grating disc and grate the two onions, remove excess juice and place the pulp into the minced beef, add the parsley, thyme, salt & pepper and mix using the K Beater tool in the kitchen machine mixing bowl.
  4. Once completely combined, separate into 150g balls and press flat to make hamburger shaped patties.
  5. Cook in a frying pan on both sides using a small amount of cooking oil.
  6. Serve on their own or inside a hamburger.

Honkytonk Burger Sauce

  1. Place all of the ingredients into the food processor attachment with the chopping blade and pulse until all are combined and the sour cream no longer has any lumps.
  2. Pour into a container and set aside until needed (keep it refrigerated and it will last weeks).
