Try this Spiced Sweet Potato Soup, great on a cold winters evening.

900g (2lb) sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced thickly1 clove garlic, chopped45ml (3tbsp) olive oil1 red onion, chopped2 celery sticks, chopped1 carrot, chopped2 sprigs thyme15ml (1tbsp) ground cumin2.5ml (½tsp) hot pepper sauce1.2l (2pts) vegetable stockFreshly ground black pepper
For the cream:2.5ml (½tsp) paprika2.5ml (½tsp) cayenne pepper100ml (3½ floz) creme fraiche
To garnish:Sprig of corianderPaprikaBlack pepper
