Chocolate Bread

BM210-Program 1

  1. Place the egg/eggs into the measuring cup or jug and add sufficient water to give liquid for:
    Loaf Size 1kg - 235ml 
    Loaf size 750g - 190m
  2. Add the chocolate when the machine makes an audible sound after approx 20 minutes during the kneading cycle.

Tip
tsp=5ml teaspoon
tbsp=15ml tablespoon

Ingredients

For 900kg loaf 
1 egg  
Water - see point 1 
110ml semi-skimmed milk
500g unbleached white bread flour 
1 tbsp cocoa powder 
1/2 tsp salt
40g caster suger 
25g butter 
1/2 tsp easy blend dried yeast 
75g plain continental style (70% cocoa) chocolate coarsely chopped or use plain chocolate chips

For 700g loaf 
1 egg  
Water - see point 1 
100ml semi-skimmed milk
400g unbleached white bread flour 
1 tbsp cocoa powder 
1/2 tsp salt
30g caster suger 
25g butter 
1/2 tsp easy blend dried yeast 
65g plain continental style (70% cocoa) chocolate coarsely chopped or use plain chocolate chips
