Chilli & Cheddar Cheese Bread

  1. Place the oil and chillies in a small frying pan and saut'e over a medium heat for 3-4 minutes, until softend. Set aside to cool. Add to the pan with liquids.
  2. Add the ingredients to the pan in the order listed in the above recipe.

Variation
Reduce the quantities of chillies for a milder flavour replacing with chopped spring onions if preferred. Use hot chillies such as Scotch Bonnet for a fiery taste.

Ingredients

For 900kg loaf
1/2 tbsp sunflower oil 
3 red chillies, de-seeded & chopped  
210ml water 
110ml semi-skimmed milk 
450g unbleached white bread flour 
50g wholemeal bread flour
65g mature cheddar cheese grated
1/2 tsp salt  
2 tsp sugar 
7g easy blend dried yeast

For 700kg loaf
1 tbsp sunflower oil 
2 red chillies, de-seeded & chopped
180ml water
90ml semi-skimmed milk 
360g unbleached white bread flour 
40g wholemeal bread flour 
50g mature cheddar cheese grated 
1 tsp salt 
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp easy blend dried yeast
