  • Are there any guidelines for what I can put in my smoothie maker?

    Most fruits and vegetables can be blended in a liquidiser, however some of the harder fruits, such as apples, may need to be cut up into smaller pieces before they will blend easily. It is also recommended that any dried fruits are soaked in water for a few hours before blending.

  • How long does a smoothie last?

    Ideally a freshly made smoothie should be consumed immediately after it is made. A good guideline is to try and drink it within the same day.

  • What does a Stir Stick do?

    A Stir stick is a handy tool that allows you to push the fruit against the flow of the blending, meaning that they are processed faster and more effectively.

  • What is a Pulse Function?

    The pulse button is used when you need short bursts of power at the optimum speed. This is controlled by the user which means you control how long the machine is run for. It is a useful way of avoiding over-processing. For example, it can be used for an extra burst of blending at the end of a mix to smooth the mixture a little more.

  • What is best to change the consistency of a smoothie?

    If your smoothie is too thick you need to add more liquid, all smoothies have to have a liquid base so it is best to use the markings on the goblet for best results. If your smoothie is too thin then add some frozen ingredients or maybe half a banana.

  • What is the Difference between a Juicer and a Smoothie maker?

    A Juicer is an appliance used simply for extracting the juice of a fruit, resulting in a much thinner and often clearer drink than a smoothie, as Smoothie Makers use the whole fruit to make the drinks.

  • Why aren’t there any more than 2 speeds on any smoothie makers?

    We like to keep things simple. There are only ever two speeds because that’s all you really need. One for harder fruits and one for liquids and softer fruits. There is also the Pulse button of course, for ice crushing and quick bursts of liquidising.
