Desserts

This part includes a selection of the many desserts you can make with the Kenwood Cooking Chef. The K Beater ensures all soft mixtures are mixed to perfection, such as pastry and cakes, whilst the Power Whisk incorporates plenty of air into the mixture to give a light fluffy texture, ideal for mousses, meringues and soufflés. There is nothing quite like rich, creamy homemade ice cream or tangy fruit sorbet mixed and frozen to perfection with the Ice cream Maker. The aroma of freshly baked cakes and biscuits is hard to resist.

  • Floating Island

A floating island is a French dessert consisting of meringue floating on a creme anglaise (vanilla custard).

  • Pate de Fruit

Pate de fruit is French for "fruit paste" and is chewy in texture, combining the sweet and sour flavours of natural fruit juice. Popular varieties of pates de fruit include mango, passion fruit, quince, blackberry, pear and pineapple.

  • Financier

A financier is a light, moist teacake similar to a sponge cake. The basis of the cake itself is beurre noisette (brown sugar), egg whites, powdered sugar and flour. They are often shaped in molds and topped with whipped cream, berries and served with ice cream or other frozen confections.

  • Syllabub on a Chocolate Mousse

This chocolate mousse is easy to make and works perfectly with or without the syllabub. This versatile recipe allows you to experiment with many combinations of flavours.

  • Panacotta

This classic Italian dessert is one of the simplest to execute, just place the ingredients into the bowl and boil. The flavour of vanilla and cream give this dessert a richness that is balanced by the addition of the rum.
